New ABC Service Assist Program Goes “Beyond the Service Bay” with Enhanced Fleet Maintenance Management Options.
ABC is excited to present its new 2020 Van Hool coach models during the UMA Expo in Nashville, TN.
ABC Companies will introduce a new service category to customers in 2020. The aptly named program – ABC Service Assist – brings the expertise and knowledge of ABC’s highly-trained technician labor pool to assist with fleet maintenance and repair activities at any on-site customer location or ABC facility.
ABC Service Assist is designed to offer customers more flexibility in choosing ABC Services that scale with their business needs when and where they prefer on an “as needed” basis. From one mechanic working within a customer facility, to staffing or managing a full-service shop, ABC Service Assist can help owners better control escalating labor costs, support campaigns, fill staffing gaps, provide specialized technical expertise and more.
“Equal access to our entire portfolio of service offerings that revolve around an individual customers’ needs is the primary concept for Service Assist”, states Mr. Roman Cornell, President and Chief Commercial Officer at ABC Companies. “Over decades we have worked with every type of operator, large and small and the launch of Service Assist will prove out our commitment to serving the entire customer landscape – on terms that they prefer and that work best with their business goals and daily maintenance operations”.
Designed to help operators optimize their maintenance teams and fleet maintenance activities, ABC Service Assist will offer a comprehensive menu of traditional and advanced maintenance, technical support and repair services in a variety of bundled service options that can be combined as needed, such as:
- Tech Assist: ABC technicians work at a customer location for a short term or limited time project or campaign as defined by the customer
- Site Assist: ABC provides on-site technical contractors who report to and work at a customer location indefinitely, until customer staffing is sufficient or service request is fulfilled
- Complete Assist: Fully outsourced Service and/or Maintenance Department available at a nearby ABC location or the customer site
- Mobile Assist: Mobile service provided at customer site or location within a defined geographic area.
“Customer needs are evolving and ABC is prepared to keep pace with changing demands”, said Jon Savitz, ABC Senior V.P./Service Operations. “We currently utilize variations of Service Assist for customers in the Northern California region. For example, customers utilizing our Complete Assist outsource model — which covers virtually all aspects of fleet maintenance management such as vehicle storage, daily care, scheduled maintenance, major repairs, contract management, warranty claims, fleet tracking and more – are benefiting from a robust outsource option that enables them to focus on core business activities”.
ABC has offered dedicated contract maintenance to customers throughout North America for decades and is excited to deploy a customizable on-demand service program designed to give customers expanded access to highly skilled service experts trained to perform anything from PMI to complicated repairs, shop management and more.
The ABC Service management team will be at ABC Booth #200 at UMA Expo 2020 to discuss the many service options available from ABC and to help operators explore programs that can be customized to their operational requirements.
